For the detection of antibodies to avian influenza (AI) virus subtype H5N1 in the hemagglutination inhibition (HI) test.
General provisions
The kit is intended for the quantitative determination of antibodies to hemagglutinin-neuraminidase of avian influenza virus subtype H5N1 using the erythrocyte hemagglutination inhibition (HI) test. The kit is designed for 500 tests.Kit contents
The kit includes:- Inactivated AI virus subtype H5N1 antigen, lyophilized, packaged in 2 mL volumes in vials of appropriate capacity. Each kit includes 5 vials of antigen with a hemagglutinating activity of at least 7 log2 (1:128 and above), or 10 vials of antigen with a hemagglutinating activity of 6 log2 (1:64). The estimated number of sera that can be tested in the HI test using antigens of various activities:
1 vial of antigen with an activity of 1:64 — 53 serum samples;
1 vial of antigen with an activity of 1:128 — 106 serum samples;
1 vial of antigen with an activity of 1:256 — 213 serum samples;
1 vial of antigen with an activity of 1:512 — 426 serum samples.
Thus, when using one kit, the minimum number of test sera is at least 500 samples
- Positive chicken blood serum to AI virus subtype H5N1 (positive control), lyophilized, packaged in 1 mL volumes. Each kit includes 1 vial of positive serum.
- Negative (normal) chicken serum containing no antibodies to AI virus subtype H5N1 (negative control), lyophilized, packaged in 1 mL volumes. Each kit includes 1 vial of negative serum.
- Disposable polymer plate for immunological reactions, sterile — 5 pcs.
- Phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) tablets, pH 7.2-7.6 — 10 pcs.
- Sodium citrate, packaged in 1 g portions in 2 cm3 vials — 3 pcs.
