EshriPhage
General provisions
The medicinal product Eshrifag contains strains of bacteriophages Escherichia coli BF1351, Salmonella enteritidis BF-1354, Salmonella infantis BF-1355 and Salmonella typhimurium BF1356 (4%) in saline sodium chloride solution (96%). One commercial dose contains 1*107-9*108 (COMBAT) of phage particles of each bacteriophage strain. It does not contain genetically modified microorganisms. In appearance, it is a transparent liquid without color, odor and sediment. Eshrifag is produced in glass or polymer vials with an appropriate capacity of 100 cm3 containing 10,000 doses, respectively. Shelf life is 18 months from the date of release, subject to storage and transportation conditions. The medicinal product must be used within 72 hours after opening the vial.
Biological properties
Eshrifag is an antibacterial drug with the ability to specifically lyse pathogenic serotypes of Escherichia coli, as well as Salmonella enteritidis, Salmonella infantis, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella dublin, Salmonella gallinarum-pullorum. Salmonella choleraesuis. Salmonella bredeney, Salmonella reading, Salmonella virchow. The Escherichia coli and salmonella bacteriophages included in the preparation have a high rate of adsorption, reaching the target bacterial cells (by means of taxis), they multiply in them, while the concentration of phage particles increases. Coli-bacteriophages are active only against virulent cultures of Escherichia coli, and do not cause lysis of non-pathogenic Escherichia coli, which are the normoflora of the digestive system of animals and birds.The drug is harmless, has therapeutic and preventive properties.
The order of application
The drug is intended for the prevention and treatment of escherichiosis and salmonellosis in farm animals (pigs) and birds (chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese). Eshrifag is used for the treatment and prevention of escherichiosis and salmonellosis of birds (including pullorosis), colibacteriosis, edematous disease and paratyphoid of pigs, by individual or group methods - oral, aerosol and spray method (coarse spraying). The scheme of application provides for both preventive and curative use of the drug. There are no contraindications when using the drug in accordance with the approved instructions.
