Bio-Salm, a disinfectant, contains as an active ingredient a mixture of sterile cell-free filtrates of phagolysates (Escherichia coli BF-1351, Salmonella enteritidis BF-1354, Salmonella infantis BF-1355, Salmonella typhimurium BF-1356) - 1%, based on sterile saline solution - 99%. The titer of each bacteriophage is at least 1 * 1010 BOE/ml (according to Grazia). It is intended for carrying out preventive and forced (current and final) disinfection of veterinary surveillance facilities using a biological method. In appearance, it is a transparent liquid, colorless and odorless, has a neutral pH, and mixes well with water in any concentration. It is packaged in glass or polymer vials with a capacity of 100 cm3. The shelf life of the product in the manufacturer's unopened packaging is 12 months from the date of manufacture, provided it is stored in a covered, ventilated warehouse, protected from moisture and sunlight, away from heating devices and open flames at temperatures from 2 ° C to 8 ° C. The shelf life of the opened product does not exceed 3 days, when stored at temperatures from 2 ° C to 8 ° C.
Biological properties
A bacteriophage-based disinfectant, it has the ability to specifically lyse pathogenic serotypes of Escherichia coli, as well as Salmonella enteritidis, Salmonella infantis, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella dublin, Salmonella gallinarum-pullorum, Salmonella choleraesuis, Salmonella bredeney, Salmonella reading, Salmonella virchow. The bacteriophages included in the disinfectant are stable in the external environment and compatible with other chemical disinfectants. According to GOST 12.1.007-76, according to the parameters of toxicity when applied to the skin and injected into the stomach, it belongs to the 4th class of low-risk substances. The range of resistance of bacteriophages to the pH of the external environment is 3.6-9.6. The resistance of bacteriophages to ambient temperature ranges from -80 to +60 ℃.
