It is planned to launch the production of innovative veterinary vaccines in Russia.

In 2024, more than 200 domestic veterinary medicines entered the market. This was made possible, among other things, thanks to the accelerated registration of veterinary medicines, which was shortened from 160 to 60 working days in 2022.

This year, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, a large-scale project for the production of innovative veterinary vaccines is being launched, which is being implemented by the Central Research Institute of Microecology (Evolink) together with the Armavir Biofactory. The project includes the development of new vaccines against viral and bacterial infections for poultry and pig farming, including drugs to combat Newcastle disease, avian infectious bronchitis and other diseases.

According to Maxim Uvaidov, State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Agriculture, in order to remain competitive, it is important for Russian producers to continue investing in innovation, as well as focus on developing new technologies and upgrading existing ones.
